December 2007

Two years ago at Christmas time, we were in London, packing all of our stuff and praying that the Lord would grant us the visa to come to California. Today, December 2007, our eyes are already looking forward to our return to Spain. These two years have been so wonderful; we will never forget them. And we trust our God will continue to bless our lives as we answer His calling.

But now we want to give you all an update of everything that has happened these last months since our previous newsletter. God has opened doors for us to visit other Calvary Chapels to share our vision with the body of Christ. So far we have been to CC Adoradores (Spanish ministry of CC Redlands), the Brook, Visalia, San Clemente, Chino Valley and Central Santa Ana. In all of them we felt welcomed and loved; it is a blessing to experience the unity of the church in such a tangible way.

Our last semester at Calvary Chapel Bible College has been a tremendous blessing. It’s hard to believe it already happened, but last Saturday the 15th we found ourselves walking to receive our diplomas as graduates. We thank God for this wonderful opportunity He has given us to study His Word and we thank our church CC Upland for supporting us so generously and faithfully all this time.

Our parents, Pepe and Alicia Carmet came all the way from Spain to be with us in this special season of our lives. Our brothers, Israel and Noemí have also come to visit from Jamaica. We are so excited we get to spend Christmas with all of them!

Saturday the 29th will be our last day at our apartment in Murrieta. After that we will stay in Upland until the day of our return to Spain, January the 12th. But before we leave, we will see some of you at the missions conference. We are very sad, in one hand, as we see how so many things are coming to an end. But, on the other hand, we are sure of our calling and we desire to obey and see what the Lord will continue to do.

We wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. God bless!!

Dearest Ivan and Eunice, we rejoice with you in all the Lord has accomplished in your years at Bible College. Jos.1:8 comes to mind, be strong and courageous, He has a wonderful plan in mind as you return to Spain! Much love to you both, Pastor Ted and Alicia Glauser

Ivan and Eunice,

Although I did not have the opportunity to get to know you well, I was very fortunate in hearing one of Ivan's sermons and Eunice's lovely voice and music talent! I pray that the Lord continues to truly bless you both when you return to Spain and perhaps, if it is the Lord's Will, I may see you should CC Upland renew their mission trips to your home country!

God's grace and peace to you.

Ivan and Eunice, It's been an honor and blessing serving in ministry with you and seeing what the Lord has done to confirm your calling. I will remember the last two trips to La Posada and the ministry efforts you participated with me in Granjas.

May the Lord bless you and continue to work in your lives, I hope to serve with you again some time.

With Love, Nat

Congratulations, not only for your graduation, but for everything that you have achieved in the past two years, for the friends, no, the family you have made, for the service to the Lord and the eternal value you have invested in.
We love you very much.

y te guarde;
El SEÑOR te mire con agrado
y te extienda su amor;
El SEÑOR te muestre su favor
y te conceda la paz."
-Números 6:24-26

All glory to our precious Savior for His marvelous plan that brought you, Ivan and Eunice to our dear church in Upland. God has used you to touch our hearts and inspire us to be better servants. Your example shines!

Spain has been referred to as "a grave yard of missionaries". We know that nothing is impossible for God, so we have prayed that He would raise up someone to help change that reputation. I believe the Lord will use you two to that end.

You will both be in my prayers. Your beloved Spain will be there too. God Keep You and Bless you anew every day!

Love in Christ our King,

Lori
