Daniel 9:18

Hello everyone! We can't wait to share with you all some of the things the Lord has been doing in our lives and other people's lives. But before we do so, let us remind you how much we love you and miss you all. As we say "all" we think of you: friends, relatives, classmates, teachers, pastors, prayer warriors and supporters. And of course, we think of you, dear church, CC Upland; we love you dearly and can't wait to be among you again.

Eila is the name of a lady who was begging at the door of the doctor’s office. We stopped to talk to her and had the opportunity to pray for her. Two weeks later we looked for her again to give her a Bible and she looked very happy to see us because she had something to tell us. A few days after our first meeting she had met other Christians who invited her to go to church and she accepted. She has been going to church and now she has a Bible to read.

Francisco is Puri’s husband. For a year he has been fighting cancer and he is now in a terminal phase. One night we both felt the Lord was moving us to go visit him. When we got there we told our friend Puri we wanted to talk to Francisco because we had something urgent to tell him. That night Ivan shared the gospel of salvation with Francisco and he received Jesus as Lord and Savior.

June the 16th Eunice invited a few neighbors for breakfast. Manoli, Estrella, Beatriz, Talia, Maite and Andrea are the names of the ladies who attended. Eunice’s mom and sister were present as well. Most of them had never give thanks before a meal, so Eunice explained the reason we do. After breakfast we also celebrated Eunice’s sister’s birthday and we read Romans 8:28-38. They all listened very attentively and were surprised by the beauty of the Word. Towards the end of the morning, two ladies were left, Talia and Beatriz. They seemed very comfortable and started asking questions about our faith. We ended sharing the whole gospel with them and we gave them Bibles to read. The Spirit of God moved among us, it was awesome.

Antonio Cordoba is one of Ivan’s coworkers. Some of his relatives are evangelical Christians but he has never wanted to know Jesus personally. Since he found out Ivan was a pastor, he has been asking questions and opening his heart to Ivan. He feels a great emptiness in his heart and he knows only Jesus can satisfy his need. But he fears commitment. Pray for his salvation.

Because of the “Soccer Europe Cup” we have been meeting with Talia and her husband, Carlos, and with other neighbors, Abigail and Chema. Besides having a great time celebrating Spain’s triumph, the Lord has opened the door for us to share our faith and pray with them in several ocassions. They all seem very interested and open to spiritual matters.

Antonio and Alicia, Eunice’s sister and her husband, are experiencing God working in their lives and all around them. They have also had numerous opportunities to preach the Good news and their faith is being strengthened.

As you can see, our God is a great big God. Nothing is impossible for Him. We are confident that He is working and in His timing He’ll add to the church those who are His Own. Keep praying fervently, as Daniel the prophet prayed:

"O my God, incline Your ear and hear; open Your eyes and see our desolations, and the city which is called by Your name; for we do not present our supplications before You because of our righteous deeds, but because of Your great mercies".

In Him we trust and rest. To God be the glory!

Dear Ivan and Eunice,

I have heard through email and Edgar here in Grand Terrace about how things are going there and it is a privilege to be able to join you in ministry with prayer. If just one life is touched by the ministry God has placed before you then I'm sure it was all worth the effort; and, if more come to know HIM then praise God. Thank you for sharing... may the Lord strengthen you and have boldness in preaching His Word!

Hi Primos,
We are getting ready for Doheney and thinking of you. The boys are somewhat sad you won't be with us but hopefully we'll see you soon. How about it? Are you coming? May God continue to bless you and keep you strong. We love you.
